This is one of my all-time fave kind of books--a loving and detailed look at samplers from women and girls long gone but living on in their beautiful works. This is the only book this year, that as soon as I finished, I wanted to start reading it all over again.
The thrilling conclusion answers many questions, but still has a cliffhanger of sorts that has me BEGGING FOR A BOOK 3! I know Ginn doesn't have any plans to do so, but the need on my end for one is still strong. Wonderful pictures with descriptions! Gives quite an overview of the world of sampler making. This book is intended to provide, in a short volume, an introduction to the theory of aircraft for use by undergraduate and graduate students.
