Survivor of human trafficking, Jenni Jessen, knows firsthand the depths of trauma a body can endure. Thirteen years of sexual exploitation did not leave her defeated. It's big enough for me to read but doesn't take up a lot of my desk space. It includes a detailed waterproof map perfect for taking along while exploring the waterways in a boat. With the wisdom of this volume, I can see myself as a confident mother resistor and truth teller and not simply the persistent nuisance I fear some of my children's teachers and many of their friends' parents perceive me to be. There's An Elephant in the room is a great quick read and I could not seem to put it down. I learned a great deal of interesting details from this queen's life. Nor long bus rides. "I always knew that my raison d'etre, as far as physical activity was concerned, was running. They should replace it or give my money back. Tom Tierney has produced a work of art worthy of Diana, Princess of Wales -- the most gracious and lovely woman of her generation.
