There are a dozen such books on the shelf, but Lass' voice is different--she is sort of the Whit Stillman of dommes. The only issue is the print is very small. Most other scholarship books I found a waste of time and money. This book is written in a clear, reasonable, direct manner -- the same style Sam Lazzaro exhibits in conducting casual conversation and/or packaging business deals. If there are errors in the book, there will be a link to a page that lists all the corrections to these errors - the link is called "Errata". Good stuff.
