Fr Dwight Longenecker is a former Evangelical. After graduating from Bob Jones University he went on to study theology at Oxford and was ordained as minister in the Church of England. In 1995 he and his family converted to the Catholic faith and he now serves as a Catholic priest in Greenville, South Carolina. Fr Longenecker has written fifteen books on Catholic theology, spirituality and apologetics. He is a well known blogger at "Standing on My Head" and is a regular broadcaster on Catholic radio and is in great demand as a speaker and retreat leader. I'm off to read Dragon Fall now. The details are lovely. The course is easy to access and log in to. The only surviving examples of his work are a few biographies from his work "De Viris Illustribus," which he apparently modeled after Plutarch's "Lives."
The surviving pieces consist of an introduction, several biographies of non-Roman generals, and two biographies of Roman historians. Millions of farm families, who had subsisted, albeit poorly, were no longer able to support themselves. I'm a big fan of Carolyn Brown - and this book is another example of why I love her work. This book is chock full of beautiful pictures of arpilleras. There is nothing simple or uncomplicated in this woman's life.
This is not a novel that can stand alone. The book covers the original prints, the valuable full-sized facsimiles, and the not-so-valuable undersized reproductions. I like that the steps are simple to follow and because it's 'eat fat get thin', nutritional facts is another plus
