The text is appropriate for both independent and read aloud, and the use of real photography is very effective. Their content, and in several cases their historical accuracy, are quite limited. You know what that means? A trip into the country to a farm which is great excitement for Henry and his dog, Mudge.
Once they arrive at the farm, the farmer's wife says that Henry and Mudge are free to explore so off they go meeting a wonderful selection of farm animals. All in all, I would recommend it.. Slavery does existright here in the USAall around the worldand you will never view it the same again.. A lot of study and careful practice precedes accuracy in producing these tones at will. I loved when Mudge barked so loud that the goose jumped three feet, and he ran away from Henry and Mudge.. This book is awesome! I have used it and others in this series with my students grades 1-3.
